A Word From Our President

When DMS broke into the construction market four years ago, industrial construction in Central Canada was performed, for the most part, by a surprisingly small group of established and successful companies. Although the industry was experiencing, a recession, there were enough projects on the go to keep all of the players relatively busy. As a result there was no need for any of the tried and true to provide ideas or solutions “outside the box.”

Looking back now, I realize the timing could not have been better for the emergence of a young, aggressively minded company with a best practices approach to construction one gained through project experience and “lessons learned”. By bringing together a team of professionals from diverse segments of the industry and providing an environment in which ideas thrive, DMS has become one of the fastest growing privately-owned organizations in the industrial sector.How do we explain our extraordinary growth and success? We believe it’s from bringing a philosophy to the table and job site that is very different from that of our competitors. By uniting stakeholders through a process that’s transparent, fair and accountable, we have created a team concept that leaves no room for the traditional adversarial relationships between client, administrator and contractor.

Our success to date can also be attributed to the quality and mind set of the individuals on our team. Our people demonstrate their commitment to achieving the project goals of our customers each and every day. Utilizing diverse staff disciplines, as well as providing very specific skill sets, we have been able to adapt to a wide variety of roles throughout the entire lifecycle of every project.

Essential to our early achievements, of course, were the customers who took that leap of faith with us. Thank you for giving DMS — the “new kid on the block” — the opportunity to tackle some of your largest and most complex projects.
